Spiders have always been one of the best Asenine of nature: weaving networks which trap their victims, then devour. With one exception: this curious specimen that eats only buds, leaves and small shoots of Acacia trees, stealing them from the ants that are responsible for their care.

Fact: It takes a mutualism between ants and the plant: the first care of the Acacia other herbivores and in return have a place to live, and food, the plant nectar secreted at the base of the leaves as well also feed on the same leaves. The spider looks at the situation and takes the time to steal the food for the ants without being seen.

Fact: The first observed this behavior in 2001, and later in 2007. Lives for Central America and southern Mexico.
